Sharing End of the Year Photos with Parents

As the year comes to a close, many of you have memory-making trips and events planned, like field trips and plays, and you may want to easily share photos of these events with parents.  In my classroom, I loved making photos into simple slideshows to share via email or on my blog, rather than sharing several individual pictures.  Here are a few of my favorite tools to use to share these photos:

Do you like cocoa with marshmallows?

To practice the word do we graphed if we like our hot chocolate with marshmallows or not. The kids graphed "yes, I do" or "no, I do not." Most definitely like marshmallows!

We are thankful for ...

We practiced writing the word and and added it to a poster with all of the kindergartners' pictures to show who we are thankful for this holiday season. This is a favorite poster for students to read during our Read the Room center!

Caterpillars Week 2

Okay, this is really blurry, but if you look closely, you'll see that several of our caterpillars have already made their chrysalises, and the others are very close. The kindergartners are really enjoying watching this process! We are excited to see them when they become butterflies!

Toothless Kiddos

Took this picture of the kiddos who have recently lost teeth - they have pretty cute "toothless grins". :)

Flat Tyler!

Our class is hosting a "student" from Vaughn, Washington until May 14th. The student is Flat Tyler, based on the character Flat Stanley from the book by Jeff Brown. While the "flat student" is here, we will be busy showing him around our class and school, so that Mrs. Winderl's kindergartners in Vaughn, Washington can learn about Mrs. Piltz' kindergartners in Billings, Montana!

Today we met Flat Tyler. We plan to take him with us to music and library this week. The kindergartners are very excited to show him around Beartooth Elementary School!
