Pre-Make Labels in Seesaw for Students!

Did you know you can add labels to a post in Seesaw, have your students copy & edit the post, then they can access the labels and move them around on their own copy?! Super cool for word scrambles, word sorts, and labeling images. After they copy & edit the post, they just need to select the label tool in order to open it and be able to move the labels around. See the example below! And if you like this pumpkin example, you can access the image here for use in your own classroom. (Choose File > Download As > .jpg to create an image that you can upload to your Seesaw class.)

Pumpkin Project Using ArtHub and ChatterPix

I absolutely love this fun idea from 1st grade teacher Mrs. Peel. She used the step by step drawing directions at Art Hub. They then took photos of their drawings and used the app ChatterPix Kids to make them talk. After saving to the camera roll of their iPads, they could load to Seesaw to share. Great job, Mrs. Peel & 1st graders!

Dressed Up Pumpkins

Love, love, love this idea for using Seesaw from Mrs. Brammer's 1st grade.  They decorated pumpkins, then used the Seesaw app to take photos of their creations.  In the app, they added text and audio.  Seesaw makes this so easy for the kids to do independently!

Pumpkins!

These were just too cute not to share.  Mrs. Scheafer's sweet husband makes these wooden pumpkins each year, for her students to paint and decorate.  They happened to be finishing them up last week when I was there to introduce Seesaw to her class.  (If you don't know what Seesaw is, please read my previous blog post)!  The students used the camera tool to take a picture of their pumpkin, then used the pen and text tools to write their names and a sentence before posting to their brand new learning journals.  You can see one of the kids' journals projected in the background.  What a great little pumpkin patch!
