First Day of School

The first day of school is Wednesday, August 22nd.  School begins at 8:25am.  Breakfast is served at school from 8:00-8:25am.  If students are not eating breakfast, they should arrive no sooner than 8:10.  On the first day, teachers will be outside to help greet students at 8:10.  Students in Mrs. Piltz' class should find the line marked "KP" (Kindergarten Piltz) near Entrance B of the school.  In the mornings when the bell rings, this is where students will line up and then be led inside the building by the teachers.

It is easier to start our day if parents say their good-byes outside, and let the teachers take the students inside to start our day.  It is an emotional day for some parents and students, and prolonging the "good-bye" often makes it more difficult.  I promise your kindergartners will be in good hands!

Please be sure and let us know how your students will be picked up on the first day, and all other days.  Sometimes students will typically go to daycare or ride the bus, but on the first day their parents make a special point of picking them up.  We want to be sure your kids are getting home safely so please help us by communicating with us about your plans.

If at any time you have questions or concerns, please contact me.  The easiest way is by email at piltzt@billingsschools.org.  You can also call me at 281.6356 but I am unable to answer the telephone while teaching.  Thank you for understanding!  I look forward to getting to know you and your kindergartner this year!
