Dr. Seuss Facts
We used Popplet on our iPads, along with Reflector app, to collaboratively write Dr. Seuss facts into a Popple.
Living vs. Non-Living
After reading our Lead 21 story about "Living it Up", we did a QR code activity about living vs. non-living things. Then we created a Popplet with facts we learned about living and non-living things.

Kidblog
Great job, Audrey, for posting on your blog this weekend!
Also, a huge thanks to the parents who have taken the time to login and comment on posts! I love it! The kindergartners have gotten so great about being able to login and begin writing a new post. Next we will work on reading comments and learning how to respond to them. :)

Kahoot!
Today we used a neat site called Kahoot! that allowed us to play a game-show style quiz. This was our first time practicing Kahoot, but they did really well and I'm excited to utilize this tool for other quick assessments.

George Washington eBook
We created an eBook about George Washington using the iPad app Book Creator. If you would like to download the eBook, open this link from a device (such as an iPad or iPhone) and click "open in iBooks". This should download the eBook into your iBooks!

Royal Readers
I am going to start tracking student minutes read using our awesome RAZ-Kids program, and assigning a Royal Reading King and Queen each week. This will be the boy and girl who have read the most minutes. I hope to start this in a couple of weeks ... I am going to give everyone a chance to logon and start accumulating minutes! Students can login by visiting this site (no passwords are set up for them). If you have any trouble, please email me.
Happy Reading!

"Let it Go" with classroom instruments
So many of your kiddos are big Frozen fans (like me!) and I thought they would enjoy this. It is a video of Idina Menzel singing "Let it Go" with Jimmy Fallon & friends ... using kids' instruments. :) Very cute! Click the image below and enjoy!
