Applesauce
Oops!
Sorry, I just noticed a mistake on the October Snack Calendar. I listed both October 14th and 18th as Picture Day. The actual Picture Day is October 14th. Sorry for any confusion.
Vision Screening
The nurses screened all of the students' vision today. If they noticed any problems with your child's vision, you will receive a note with recommendations.

Pumpkin Patch
On Monday, October 10th we will take the kindergartners on a field trip to the pumpkin patch at J and K Farms outside of Laurel. We will need chaperones. If you are interested, please be sure you have filled out the background check paperwork (you can get this paperwork from the office). We will leave school around 9:45am and plan to return at 1:45pm. We will need chaperones who can drive their own vehicles and help haul pumpkins back to school.
Students will also need to order a sack lunch from school or plan to bring their own lunch that day. A form will go home next week, where you can let us know what your plans are.

Please Be Cautious
Today at Beartooth we experienced a higher than average student absenteeism. Additionally, some students and staff became ill and were excused for the day. Additional custodial staff will be in cleaning the school, as a precaution. As per our "Guidelines for Sick Children" policy, we are asking that you keep your children home from school if they are experiencing a fever, vomiting or diarrhea.
Please take this opportunity to visit with your children about practicing good hygiene, including washing hands with soap and water, covering their mouths when they cough or sneeze, etc.
Thank you for your cooperation!
Here are a couple of great videos from "Crawford's Corner" to watch about handwashing and covering your mouth when you sneeze.
