ClassDojo Groups

Click the image to read more about the new groups feature on ClassDojo.  This feature has great potential in quickly awarding points to collaborative groups of students (centers, table groups, etc).  I love this idea - one click points awarding, rather than having to search and award each individual student in the group.  If you have other questions about how to use ClassDojo, they have a wonderful blog as well as Teacher Help Desk with tutorials.  You can also follow them on Twitter @ClassDojo for lots of great tips on how other teachers are using this tool in their classrooms.  Something I love about ClassDojo is that it's a tool that everyone can customize and use depending on how it best fits his/her classroom.

Love this new feature! Quickly award points to a collaborative group. https://t.co/ve1HJWUwmU

Mrs.Wideen's Blog: Using Explain Everything in the Primary Classroom

I hear wonderful things about the Explain Everything app, but I have not used it much.  It is a goal of mine to explore this app a bit more.  I just stumbled on this great article by Mrs. Wideen, with several ideas on using this app in the primary classroom (including examples).  The app is $2.99.

Mrs.Wideen's Blog: Using Explain Everything in the Primary Classroom: Explain everything is a screen casting and interactive whiteboard app  that lets you annotate, animate, narrate, import, and export almost a...

Top Ten Tech Tips for Teachers

One of my favorite resources for tech integration is Kasey Bell and her Shake Up Learning Blog. She has awesome tips and infographics.  I really love this one - it touches on the basics of beginning to integrate technology into your classroom.  Click the image to visit her site.  She is also great to follow on Twitter as you build your PLN!

Adding Social Media Icons to Your Blog

I am updating my blog (well, trying to) by adding some cute social media icons.  I still don't have it perfectly how I want it ... but I wanted to share some resources I have discovered.  This site, The SITS Girls, has a great article on adding social media icons.  They also link to a couple of great resources for finding free, downloadable icons to use.  I chose this Flat Icon set posted on SpeckyBoy.  They worked great and have a huge variety of sizes.

Happy blogging!
